Whit Bolland is an accomplished operations leader and international trade compliance expert with a proven track record of driving success in complex, high-stakes environments. Fluent in five languages and equipped with deep cross-cultural insight, Whit brings a unique global perspective to every engagement, enabling businesses to thrive in today’s interconnected economy.

Currently the Head of Global Trade Compliance at FlavorCloud Inc., Whit leads enterprise-wide initiatives to streamline cross-border e-commerce, reduce compliance risks, and accelerate international growth. His work empowers global retailers to scale efficiently while maintaining rigorous adherence to trade laws and export controls.

Prior to joining FlavorCloud, Whit held leadership roles at Descartes Systems Group as Director of Trade Compliance Solutions, and at Progress Rail (A Caterpillar Company) as International Trade Compliance Manager and Global Export Controls Program Manager. His earlier roles at McMaster-Carr as an International and Sales Operations Strategist laid the foundation for their integrated approach to compliance, operations, and strategy.

Whit began his international career as a freelance consultant to the University of Wisconsin Hospital and the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, where he delivered insights and recommendations on cross-border health initiatives and compliance frameworks.

Whit holds a B.A. in International Studies, Political Science, and Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and pursued graduate studies in International Business at Northwestern University. His global mindset is shaped by international academic experiences at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz in Austria and the Royal Atheneum of Keerbergen in Belgium.
